BE INTENTIONAL.
story. creativity. play.
Stories have been exchanged since the beginning of time—from hieroglyphics to legends and lores to history—they make up the human experience both in the physical world and in our internal world of thoughts every day.
I've found that no matter what kind of story I'm capturing, whether it's a brand, product, process or a personal feature, I feel more alive simply because I am tapping into this sacred human tradition.
My tagline “we are made of stories” is really true. They make who we are, change who we become and connect us all in the end. In my experience of both telling other’s stories and coming to know my own, I have learned that exchanging stories is an important part of living. It's a form of human connection, letting go, keeping memories, experiencing emotions and not to be dramatic, but it can be life changing. :)
You are the one to tell your story, I am simply the vessel.

Ever heard someone say “I’m not creative”? Yeah, I don’t believe in that. As creatures we are born creative. It’s a matter of opening, not becoming.
From the moment we enter this world we are curious beings, touching, tasting and listening with wonder, without judgement. As we get older we are forced to fit into boxes by interest, by talent, by definitions. We learn rules to live by and how to use our ego to fit in, slowly we squash bits of our individuality and creative spirit.
Creative is not a personality type or a career path, it’s much more spiritual than that. It’s a practice of opening to that energy field to access our creativity. In doing this I truly believe we release ego and judgement and instead, change the outcome of what we put into this world.
Anyway, Elizabeth Gilbert, Julie Cameron, and Rick Rubin write about it best so if that intrigues you, read up!

When was the last time you "played?"
To play meaning to be completely present with all of your senses absorbing, free of ego or judgement. Hopefully your answer is yesterday, but more often than not, the answer is “I don’t know.”
It seems silly to many people, but I believe “play” is the habit that feeds our creative energy and our truest spirit.
“Serious art is born from serious play.” - Julie Cameron
I love that quote and it really applies to everything—not just art—serious creation of any kind, think conversation, sales, and achievements.
When we take time to "play," to step into our weird for a moment, we make space to get in touch with a feeling we’ve had before…our natural state as a child.
And just like when we were kids, this alignment with the present makes it easy to dream, grow and learn at a rapid rate. In a beautiful way, the act of playing connects us to something bigger, a somewhat spiritual experience that encourages our better-self to join us. What felt impossible yesterday now feels meant to be.
It’s in this daily practice of aligning that we open ourselves up to abundant creative energy. Less pressure and judgement, more energy and laughter.
I practice this, encourage it and hope that creating something with me feels a little bit light like play.
